Passage 2

Festivals in Hong Kong

There are many different festivals in Hong Kong. Some of them are Chinese and some of them are Western festivals. Do you know any of them? In spring, we have Chinese New Year. People decorate their houses with couplets because they think that they will bring them good luck. Also, they have a reunion dinner with their family. Easter is in spring, too. Children make chocolate eggs and go on an Easter egg hunt. They are fun.

Many children in Hong Kong like Christmas most because they can get many presents and visit Santa Claus. It is a joyful festival.
