The food pyramid

The food pyramid tells us how much we should eat to keep a balanced diet. The bottom of the pyramid shows cereal, bread, noodles and pasta. We should eat plenty of them. Next, it shows fruit and vegetables. This means we should also eat a lot of them per day. After that, it shows dairy products, meat and seafood. We need them to keep our bones and teeth strong. At the top of the pyramid, we can see salt, sugar and oil. We should not eat too much of these food because they are unhealthy. If we have a balanced diet, we will be healthy.
